What is the difference between indica, hybrid, and sativa?
Frankly, not much. All three designations come from the same species of plant, so scientifically speaking, there’s no difference whatsoever. Phenotypically speaking, Indica varietals are short and squat plants with dark-green fan leaves, Sativa varietals are taller and skinnier with bright green fan leaves, and hybrid cultivars land somewhere in the middle. Colloquially speaking, Indica strains are thought to be relaxing, Sativa strains are thought to be energetic when you smoke them, and hybrid strains may give you the best of both worlds.
What is the difference between wax and shatter?
Shatter and wax are the two most traditional forms of BHO (butane hash oil), and they differ in appearance and texture only. Shatter is flat and transparent, and if it’s made properly, it shatters when broken, thus the name. Wax is fluffier so you get more volume per weight, and it’s called “wax” because it looks like candle wax and has roughly the same consistency. But believe it or not, they way they make wax is by whipping shatter with a cake beater before it solidifies. A good way to think about it is that shatter is like egg whites, as where wax is like meringue.
What is the difference between live resin and live rosin?
Both Live Rosin and Live Resin come from flash-frozen, freshly-harvested flower, but with Live Resin, butane is used in the extraction process, and with Live Rosin, only heat, pressure, and water are used for extraction. So, put simply, Live Rosin is solventless as where Live Resin is not.
